About these figures

Source: World Bank, World Development Indicators. Population, GDP, real GDP growth and urban share are for 2024, rounded; data retrieved 20 October 2026. GDP is measured in current US dollars and describes national economic output, not the size of your addressable market. Growth is annual change in real GDP; urban share follows national urban definitions. These measures indicate scale and structure, not guaranteed demand or returns.

The map is illustrative. Highlighted countries are exploration starting points, not Chambers offices or confirmed service coverage. Support is considered for each enquiry.

The Qatar Africa Chambers of Commerce also supports Qatar-based organisations seeking commercial relationships in African countries. That may mean finding customers, building a supply route, exploring a project or speaking with a relevant institution. We begin with a named market and a defined objective because conditions differ sharply by country and sector.

FROM POSSIBILITY TO PURPOSE

A considered route.
A stronger beginning.

01

Define the market before the mission

An organisation considering Africa may have a strong offer but no clear first market. Another may already know the country and need help understanding the people around a particular transaction. We ask what the organisation wants to achieve, which countries it is considering, what it can deliver and which local capabilities it would need. Those answers determine whether the next step is research, specialist advice or a business conversation.

02

Connect with purpose

We can facilitate introductions to businesses, trade bodies, professional specialists or institutions where our relationships are relevant. An introduction should have an intelligible purpose for both sides. The organisations involved decide whether to continue and carry out their own commercial and professional checks.

Our remit is continental, but our capacity is not identical in every market. We will explain what support we can provide for the country and request at hand. When a specialist is better placed to advise, we say so and connect the organisation where possible.

Build a relationship that can continue

Cross-border work often develops through repeated exchanges rather than one visit or meeting. The Chambers gives Qatar-based organisations a place to remain engaged with businesses and institutions interested in the same corridor. Membership can support that longer conversation, while individual projects remain defined by their own commercial terms.
